JOB SUMMARY
The Area Supervisor (AS) is responsible for overseeing the operations of the divisional office in Sulphur, LA.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
β Interviews with prospective individuals served and their families.
β Coordinates the expansion of current programs and supports, and the development of new
services/supports.
β Promotes community acceptance and support through participation in community activities or liaison
efforts with other agencies or entities.
β Abides by all policies and supports, procedures, regulations, and guidelines for safety, quality
assurance, and general corporate oversight.
β Works cooperatively with the home, state, and division offices.
β Assists with specialized training of staff members as required by Evergreen and local, state, and federal
agencies.
β Monitors cost plans to make sure that each facility is operating within budget.
β Assist in the annual preparation of the budget for the assigned area.
β Oversees and monitors the work of other administrative staff.
β Functions as the administrator on call.
β Provides technical assistance to administrative staff.
β Monitors timesheets, mileage sheets, and daily schedules of staff.
β Functions as a case manager for assigned individuals served as needed.
β Develops, prepares, and monitors individual support plans according to the guidelines of the applicable
state agency or any entity that provides regulatory oversight.
β Coordinates and arranges appointments, meetings, and other administrative matters on behalf of
supported individuals served or staff members.
β Assists in a supportive role for the individual served and his/her family and works with local and state
agencies on behalf of assigned individuals served.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/JOB KNOWLEDGE
β Bachelor's degree required
β At least five (5) years of experience working in the field of ID/DD, with at least two (2) of those years in
administrative roles.
β Experience in Case Management preferred.
β Must have working knowledge of matching specific supports and interventions to the unique. needs of
the people in the home.
β Must have a working knowledge of person centeredness.
β Completes all required state training within the time period set forth in state guidelines.
β Working knowledge of federal and state guidelines related to relevant program(s).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
β Constantly moves about to coordinate work.
β Regularly works in a fast-paced environment with multiple task deadlines.
β Regularly moves and positions objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
β Occasionally exposed to viruses and infectious conditions.
β Constantly alert and observant during working hours.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
β Will supervise.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
β May be required to attend seminars or job-related training courses.
β Must have understanding, patience, and tact in dealing with individuals with intellectual and
developmental disabilities.
β Must have the ability to maintain good working relationships with Evergreen staff and with contacts
from other agencies or entities.
β Must be able to prioritize work tasks.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
β Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
β Working knowledge of Google Workspace.
β Aptitude to learn other software programs as required for this position.
EMPLOYMENT VARIABLES
β Must have a good driving record that meets the minimum requirements for Evergreen and reliable
transportation.
β Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
β Availability for evening and weekend work may be required based on operational needs.
