We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have a Area Manager - Retail Branch Bank job opportunity with our client-Bank, a community-focused financial institution providing personalized banking, commercial lending, and treasury management solutions to businesses and consumers throughout California. Known for its relationship-based approach and local decision-making and helping clients achieve their financial goals with responsive service and customized financial solutions.

The Area Manager oversees the Branch Manager to assist and support in the overall sales, operational performance, employee recruitment, development and conduct of all assigned Retail Branches. This position will provide oversight for multiple branch locations, including Costa Mesa, Long Beach, Laguna Hills, Brea, Newport Beach, and Palm Desert. TheArea Manager - Retail Branch Bank is responsible for the specific duties listed below.

Your specific duties will include:
  • This position requires the individual to work in an office environment independently and with minimal supervision.
  • The individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
  • Activities related to management, operations, sales leadership, and community relations.
  • Ensuring effective execution of branch operations, sales initiatives, and business development activities.
  • Supporting compliance with applicable banking policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to employees to achieve organizational goals.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and community partners.

Required qualifications for the position include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of directly related work experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive branch operations and/or sales management experience in the financial services or banking industry.
  • A minimum of 5 years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Solid technology skills, including intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint) and banking software applications.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to prioritize and manage workloads and instill a sense of urgency in others as necessary to meet deadlines and goals.
  • Excellent customer service, relationship management, and business development skills.
  • Knowledge of marketing, sales, financial, managerial, and leadership principles, with a broad understanding of banking operations, practices, policies, products, and applicable regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, critical-thinking, and strategic-thinking skills, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to analyze trends, processes, and procedures and develop innovative and effective solutions to improve performance.
  • Strong overall business acumen, with the ability to understand and support the direction, priorities, and goals of the organization.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present a positive and professional image, collaborate effectively with diverse teams, and achieve results through the efforts of others.
  • Flexibility to travel regionally as required.
  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Rate Range: $120,500 - $160,500/year salary

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
