Platform Architect / Tech Lead (Exchange Infrastructure)

Location:Initially remote, with relocation to Sweden required after the first few months

We are supporting the build of a next-generation exchange platform from the ground up. This is not a typical SaaS product — it is a real-time financial system where deterministic execution, ultra-low latency, and absolute data integrity are critical.

This is afoundational and highly strategic role, where you will define the technical backbone of the entire platform from day one. The position comes with anunparalleled compensation package, reflecting the level of ownership and impact expected.

What You Will Do

• Architect and design the full system (event-driven, multi-tenant, high-availability)

• Define and enforce engineering standards across backend, infrastructure, and data layers

• Lead the design of core components including order lifecycle, matching logic, messaging systems, and state management

• Build for performance: low latency, high throughput, and fault tolerance

• Work closely with engineers whilepersonally implementing critical parts of the system

Key Expectations

This isnot a pure architecture role.

We are not looking for someone who only defines systems — we are looking for someone whobuilds them.

This is ahighly hands-on position, where you will directly design and implement key components such as:

• Matching engine logic

• Ledger systems

• Concurrency handling and data consistency mechanisms

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering

• Proven track record designing and building distributed systems at scale

• Strong expertise in.NET / ASP.NET Core, C++ or similar high-performance frameworks

• Deep understanding of event-driven architecture, messaging systems, and concurrency

• Experience with financial systems, trading platforms, or other real-time environments is highly preferred

• Ability to think in systems, not just individual services

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS (ECS, Kafka/MSK, PostgreSQL, Redis)

• Background in fintech, exchanges, or high-frequency trading systems
