JoinAprio's Assurance Team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities.Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Senior Associate, Assurance Servicesto join their dynamic team. 

Responsibilities

    • Accurately and skillfully performing audits 

    • Preparing audit work papers and adjusting trial balances 

    • Utilizing time management to plan and schedule client engagements 

    • Assembling trial balances and compiling financial statements into a written report to be presented 

    • Effectively communicating the accuracy of financial statements and other financial information to clients and co-workers 

    • Continuously fostering relationships with coworkers and clients 

    • Reviewing audit workpapers and deliverables prepared by associates to ensure accuracy and completeness 

    • Communicating status updates and issues identified to managers

Qualifications

    • 4-year bachelor's degree inAaccounting 

    • Master’s degree preferred 

    • Licensed CPA preferred 

    • 3–-5 years of experience working for a public accounting firm 

    • Developed specialties in various industries 

    • Experience reviewing work performed by junior team members 

    • Profound knowledge of auditing and accounting literature US GAAP & GAAS 

    • Able to perform complex accounting activities and financial analyses 

    • Performing variance analysis and account reconciliations 

    • Understanding of client environment and ability to assess risks to properly plan and design auditing procedures  

    • Intermediate Excel skills required 

    • Successfully using CaseWare or other audit software 

    • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills  

    • Highly detail-oriented and organized  

    • Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines  

    • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees  

    • Team building and leadership abilities  

    • Ability to work effectively and personably within a team 

    • Demonstrates exceptional verbal and written communication skills
