Join Aprio'sSpecialty Tax teamand you will help clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for anAssociate, Sales Tax Compliance to join their dynamic team. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepare workpapers and file state and local sales tax returns 
  • Conduct research on various indirect tax matters, including nexus and state filing requirements. 
  • Respond to notices received and participate in sales tax reviews. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

  • Amenable to working the night shift from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM PHT at either the Clark or Makati site.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience related in tax and/or accounting
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment. 
  • A quick learner who can adapt to a fast-paced setting. 
  • General computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). 
  • A data-conscious individual willing to learn how systems/software integrate and produce information to verify data or identify anomalies. 
  • A proven track record of working independently with a strong sense of ownership. 
  • Responsible and reliable, capable of maintaining individual production while fostering a team atmosphere. 
  • Possess deductive reasoning and a growth mindset. 
  • Open to embracing new challenges and devising innovative solutions.
