The PMO team plays a critical role in enabling delivery success through governance, financial discipline, operational rigor, and data-driven insights across Industry Solutions Delivery (ISD) engagements.Â
We are hiring a Consulting Project Manager (CPM) in PMO team. It is an individual contributor role responsible for driving end-to-end project and portfolio governance, financial predictability, and operational excellence across the assigned engagements .Â
This role primarily operates as a trusted advisor and orchestrator, enabling delivery teams and area leadership to achieve predictable, high-quality outcomes, while also requiring direct management of delivery execution in select scenarios.Â
Responsibilities
Portfolio Governance & Delivery OrchestrationÂ
Own governance across a portfolio of engagements, ensuring alignment to ISD delivery frameworks, processes, and quality standardsÂ
Orchestrate across delivery teams, area CPMs, and stakeholders to ensure successful execution across all lifecycle phasesÂ
Identify cross-project dependencies, risks, and systemic issues, and drive resolution at portfolio levelÂ
Financial Management & PredictabilityÂ
Own portfolio-level financial oversight including consumption, forecasting, cost management, and revenue predictabilityÂ
Drive forecast accuracy and financial discipline across engagements, ensuring timely corrective actionsÂ
Identify financial risks (leakage, overruns, aging engagements) and lead recovery planningÂ
Risk, Issue & Compliance LeadershipÂ
Drive proactive identification and mitigation of risks, issues, and compliance gapsÂ
Ensure adherence to governance requirements including project hygiene, audit readiness, ISRA compliance, and decrement closureÂ
Lead structured escalation management with clear resolution ownership and timelinesÂ
Executive Reporting & InsightsÂ
Deliver leadership-ready reporting (dashboards, executive summaries, portfolio insights) with clear narratives and actionsÂ
Provide data-driven insights on portfolio health, trends, and areas requiring leadership interventionÂ
Simplify and standardize reporting frameworks to improve clarity and decision-makingÂ
Stakeholder Engagement & AdvisoryÂ
Act as a trusted advisor to area leadership on governance, financials, and operational improvementsÂ
Establish strong communication cadence with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on risks, priorities, and actionsÂ
Influence without direct authority to drive alignment and outcomesÂ
Operational Excellence & Process ImprovementÂ
Identify and drive process improvements, standardization, and efficiency initiatives across engagementsÂ
Scale best practices across the PMOÂ
Automation & AI EnablementÂ
Drive adoption of automation, Copilot, and AI-driven solutions to reduce manual effort and improve insightsÂ
Deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, cycle time, or reporting qualityÂ
Promote reusable solutions and best practices across the teamÂ
Capability Building & PMO LeadershipÂ
Act as a subject matter expert in areas such as financial governance, reporting, or portfolio managementÂ
Contribute to knowledge sharing, training sessions, and capability developmentÂ
Competencies:Â
Proven experience in supporting complex technology projects or programs, including delivery across scope, cost, schedule, and qualityÂ
Strong background in project/program management and consulting engagements. Proven ability to orchestrate multidisciplinary teams, including data scientists, engineers, architects, and business stakeholdersÂ
Experience in financial governance, forecasting, and commercial managementÂ
Expertise in risk, issue, and change management, including leading scope and budget impact assessments. Proven abilities to manage risks related to Data readiness and quality, Model governance and ethical AI considerationsÂ
Ability to translate requirements along with AI capabilities into business outcomes, aligning use cases to Customer strategy and value realizationÂ
Hands‑on experience in supporting AI‑enabled, data‑driven, or advanced analytics programs, including cloud‑based AI solutionsÂ
Professional Development & ReadinessÂ
Commitment to continuous learning in AI, data, and emerging technologiesÂ
Actively maintains relevant certifications and training across project management, cloud, and AIÂ

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:Â
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years of experience with at least 2+ years of experience in Project Management.Â
Excellent communication skills are required.Â
Demonstrated management of medium to large complexity projects involving employees, external/internal customers, and partners. Ability to work with different Microsoft internal stakeholders.Â
Additional or Preferred Qualifications: Â
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. AI 900 or any other equivalent certification.Â
2+ years financial management experience. Â
Agile certification, Scrum Master, Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or Professional Scrum Master One (PSM1) certification.Â
