Applications Engineer

Job Summary:

Flowserve is looking for a technically and commercially experienced Applications Engineer. In this function you will develop solutions for customers and partners for industrial and special applications. 

You will act as a product specialist (industrial pumps product portfolio) in a team and work closely with the sales, development and other specialist departments at the site.

Responsibilities & Requirements:
-Prepare quotations by evaluating customers’ requirements and provide quotation responses by sizing, specifying and pricing valves in accordance with customers’ specifications
-Prepare technically sound and cost-effective quotations, in order to contribute to obtaining related sales and bookings growth
-Prepare detailed, complete and correct purchase order transfer files for proper transfer into our respective manufacturing operations
-Participate in bid clarification meetings with the customers
-Develop a keen understanding of the Flowserve product lines and their respective operations to enhance application engineering, quotation generation and sales support efforts

Preferred Experience / Skills:

-3-5 years of relevant experience as an Applications Engineer or similar role such as Inside Sales Representative, Engineer
-Bsc degree ideally in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business or related field

-Working proficiency in English (Hungarian is a must)

-Strong technician acumen and analytical thinking

-SAP knowledge Experience in dealing with common MS Office applications
-Good communication skills
