Senior Java SDET / Automation Engineer
Location: Addison, TX (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite)
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilledSenior Java SDET / Automation Engineer to support enterprise application initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong Java development experience combined with hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks. This role requires someone who can contribute to both software development and test automation while working closely with engineering teams to ensure high-quality releases.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience withCore Java
- Experience as anSDET, Automation Engineer, or Java Developer with automation expertise
- Strong experience designing and developing automation frameworks from scratch
- 3+ years of hands-on experience withSelenium andUFT/QTP
- Strong experience withAPI testing using REST and SOAP services
- Hands-on experience withPostman andSoapUI
- 3+ years of experience writingOracle SQL queries for data validation and backend verification
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and automation best practices
- Experience building intelligent or AI-enabled automation solutions is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with XML, XSD, and JSON
- Strong backend and integration testing experience
- Experience with file processing and message queue validation
- Familiarity with Splunk and log analysis
- Experience with VBA Macros
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test solutions
- Develop automated test scripts and enhance existing automation platforms
- Execute API, integration, backend, and end-to-end testing activities
- Perform database validation and backend data verification
- Investigate and troubleshoot application issues and test failures
- Collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to ensure software quality
- Coordinate testing efforts across multiple initiatives and applications
- Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and issue tracking
- Drive continuous improvement in automation processes and testing practices
