Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a SQL Server and SSIS Developer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

Seeking an experienced SQL Server and SSIS Developer to support enterprise data integration, database development, ETL processes, and production support activities for Compliance and Library Platforms. The candidate will play a key role in the future-state database strategy by designing, developing, and supporting scalable data solutions that enable reliable end-to-end data flow, observability, automation, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SQL Server development, SSIS-based ETL solutions, database performance optimization, and large-scale data processing.

Responsibilities:

• Support enterprise data integration, database development, ETL processes, and production support activities
• Design, develop, and support scalable data solutions that enable reliable end-to-end data flow, observability, and automation
• Work with internal customers and stakeholders to gather requirements, support production issues, and deliver data integration solutions
• Work closely with technology teams across the organization to implement best practices and ensure the stability, scalability, and efficiency of critical data platforms

Requirements:

• 7+ years of Microsoft SQL Server experience
• Expert-level SQL Server Development including advanced T-SQL, Stored Procedures, UDFs, Views, and complex query development
• Expertise in query optimization, performance tuning, Execution Plan analysis, and index design
• Knowledge of database administration concepts like blocking/deadlock analysis, transaction isolation levels, and statistics/index maintenance
• 5+ years of SSIS development experience with enterprise ETL design, incremental load strategies, and error handling
• Experience integrating data through SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and flat files
• Experience with large data processing including multi-million row databases, large nightly batch processing, and high-volume data ingestion
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ownership mentality
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills

Desired skills:

• Experience supporting compliance, governance, or enterprise platform environments
• Experience implementing observability and monitoring solutions for data platforms
• Exposure to cloud-based data solutions and modern data engineering practices
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD deployment practices
• Familiarity with automation frameworks and operational support tooling
• Experience supporting mission-critical production systems
• Knowledge of enterprise data governance and data quality practices

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
