Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Production Services Specialist for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

Seeking a skilled production services specialist to join an Equities team providing technical support to end user requests and issues. This role is responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the technology platform, including managing application platform monitoring, leading incident and problem management activities, and ensuring stability and resiliency across all services for critical trading platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Manage application platform monitoring and support
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative actions to ensure stability
• Lead incident and problem management activities
• Onboard new applications and effectively communicate to stakeholders
• Serve as an escalation point for the resolution of moderately complex unresolved problems, complaints, and service requests
• Monitor application performance and provide support to business users
• Perform troubleshooting, analysis, research, and resolution using advanced query and programming skills
• Identify possible production failure scenarios, create incident tickets, and communicate with development and business teams
• Enhance administrative, operational, and technical policies and procedures

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Application support/development, ensuring stability for critical Trading platforms
• Experience with distributed application platforms: Windows, UNIX, LINUX
• Ability to lead triage and solve production outage situations under tight deadlines
• Experience with monitoring tools such as ITRS Geneos, Splunk, and Dynatrace
• Knowledge of Equities asset class and related trade processing flows
• Programming/scripting skills: Python, Unix/scripting, Java, Perl
• Intermediate level SQL / PLSQL (multi-table joins, grouping results, etc)
• Strong knowledge of ITIL SDLC principles and execution (Certification is a differential)
• Experience with JIRA
• Well-rounded understanding of infrastructure disciplines (network, server, storage, messaging)
• Experience in coordinating with offshore/onshore support, business, vendor, and infrastructure partners
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Autosys, Ansible XLR, Grafana
• IBM WebSphere MQ
• Tibco, Cloud, IBM OpenShift
• Hands on experience providing direct support to front/back office trading applications

Pay range:$55.06 - $63.06 per hour
