Application Engineer (m/f/d) Inside Sales - Business Area Oil & Gas Midstream/Downstream

• Technical customer consulting and preparation of quotations based on customer specifications
• Selection and sizing of pumps, including cost calculation
• Development of individual, customized sales concepts and follow-up of quotations
• Conducting bid clarification meetings with customers on site as required
• Negotiation of terms and conditions within the defined scope of decision-making authority
• Support and development of the existing customer base as well as acquisition of new customers
• Close collaboration with the field sales team, subsidiaries and internal departments
• Entry of orders into the SAP system (excluding project orders)
• Handover of reviewed and clarified project orders to the Project Execution Team
• Participation in trade fairs and exhibitions
• Monitoring of competitors and market developments, including corresponding reporting

• Successfully completed technical vocational training, ideally complemented by further qualification as a Master Craftsman or Technician, or completed commercial vocational training with a corresponding technical focus
• Ideally, knowledge of the design and operation of positive displacement pumps and experience in the oil & gas industry
• Strong technical understanding combined with an entrepreneurial and process-oriented mindset
• Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills
• Professional experience in an international industrial company is desirable
• Strong presentation, persuasion and negotiation skills
• Independent and responsible way of working
• Quick comprehension as well as a high degree of flexibility, commitment and teamwork
• Proficient in common MS Office applications, ideally with knowledge of SAP
• Very good written and spoken English, good German skills are an advantage
• Willingness to travel occasionally
