Application Engineer III

Position Summary

The Application Support Engineer will support the deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of OT/PCN application systems. This role is responsible for ensuring system reliability, cybersecurity compliance, asset management, software licensing, patch management, and ongoing support of critical applications across operational and business environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, and support OT/PCN application systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving on-premises and Azure-hosted applications.
• Support application upgrades, migrations, testing, implementations, and lifecycle projects.
• Maintain asset inventories, software licensing, system monitoring, and patch management processes.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, risk management requirements, and information governance policies.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, configurations, and support procedures.
• Collaborate with technical teams to identify, communicate, and resolve system issues.

Requirements

• Experience supporting and troubleshooting server-based applications in OT and business network environments.
• Experience deploying, administering, and supporting Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Experience supporting application deployment, testing, implementation, and lifecycle management projects.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation experience.
• Experience supporting OT applications and infrastructure environments.
• Understanding of industrial cybersecurity concepts, including Purdue Model, air-gapped networks, and Zero Trust architecture.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS and SaaS).
• Experience developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts for automation, monitoring, and system maintenance.
• Experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, and VxRail environments.
• Experience supporting Linux servers, including RHEL, CentOS, or similar distributions.
• Experience administering infrastructure systems with responsibilities for cybersecurity compliance, risk management, asset management, and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with tools such as Tenable Nessus, Tanium, or similar security and compliance platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, SAFe framework, and Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Microsoft certifications in Windows Server, Azure, or related technologies are a plus.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing project and operational requirements.

Education:  

• Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Strong Windows Server administration background.
• Knowledge of Azure and virtualization technologies.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive resolution.
