Role OverviewThe Applications Engineer I provides technical and application support for products and solutions, serving as a bridge between engineering, sales, and customers. This entry‑level role focuses on learning product capabilities, supporting customer applications, assisting with technical evaluations, and contributing to application development and documentation. The Applications Engineer I works under close supervision while building foundational technical, analytical, and customer‑facing skills.This position is ideal for early‑career engineers seeking hands‑on experience in product applications, customer support, and solution development.Key ResponsibilitiesApplication & Technical SupportSupport customers and internal teams with product application questions and basic technical guidanceAssist with product selection, configuration, and application recommendationsHelp troubleshoot application and performance issues under guidance from senior engineersEngineering & Product CollaborationCollaborate with engineering teams to understand product design, specifications, and performance characteristicsSupport testing, evaluation, and validation of products in customer or lab environmentsAssist with product improvements by documenting application feedback and performance dataSales & Customer SupportProvide technical support to sales teams during the pre‑sales and post‑sales processAssist with preparation of technical proposals, presentations, and application documentationParticipate in customer meetings, demonstrations, or site visits as neededDocumentation & Process SupportAssist in preparing application notes, technical documentation, and training materialsMaintain accurate records of customer requirements, applications, and support activitiesFollow established engineering processes, quality standards, and safety guidelinesQualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)0–1 year of engineering, applications, or technical support experience (internships and co‑ops included)Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesFundamental understanding of engineering principles relevant to the product domainStrong analytical and problem‑solving skillsAbility to learn technical products and applications quicklyEffective written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CAD or engineering tools preferredAbility to work independently with guidance and collaboratively in a team environmentCustomer‑focused mindset with attention to detailAdditional Job Details
