About The Job:
- A Business Process Consultant for ServiceNow ITOM analyzes a client's current IT operations, designs optimized processes using the ServiceNow ITOM suite, and leads workshops to align business goals with technical solutions.
- Key responsibilities include leading process re-engineering, gap analysis, documentation of process flows and user stories, and supporting testing and training to drive adoption and deliver value.
- This role requires a balance of strong business analysis skills, deep understanding of IT operations and ServiceNow ITOM, and excellent client communication.
- Process analysis and design: Map current-state processes and redesign them to be more efficient using ServiceNow ITOM capabilities like event management and operational intelligence.
- Requirements gathering: Conduct workshops with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional specifications, user stories, and detailed documentation.
- Gap analysis: Identify gaps between current processes and desired future-state processes, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Solution definition: Guide clients in leveraging ServiceNow's standard capabilities to solve problems and help them achieve their business objectives.
- Documentation: Create process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other customer-facing deliverables that clearly outline the solution and its impact.
- Testing and adoption: Support unit testing and user acceptance testing (UAT), and lead client training sessions to ensure successful platform adoption
- Domain expertise: Strong knowledge of IT Operations and ITIL best practices, including event management, discovery, and service mapping.
- ServiceNow knowledge: Deep understanding of the ServiceNow ITOM suite and how its modules can be applied to solve business problems.
- Business analysis: Proven experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and creating process documentation.
- Client management: Exceptional communication, facilitation, and leadership skills to manage client relationships and drive organizational change.
- Consulting skills: Ability to act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic guidance, and managing multiple complex projects simultaneously."
