Job Title: Application Developer Mainframe Modernization
Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
Duration: 3+ Months
Pay Range: C$40 to C$45

Introduction

This role involves supporting and maintaining critical banking applications on z/OS, focusing on batch cycles, patch management, regulatory changes, and interface maintenance. The position operates under a Keep-the-Lights-On (KTLO) mandate, ensuring the seamless operation of essential banking processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with CSI Hogan on z/OS – DDA, CIF, CLS, GL, CD
• Proficiency in COBOL
• Knowledge of IMS DB/TM
• Familiarity with VSAM
• Understanding of JCL
• Banking Regulatory/Compliance expertise – BSA/AML, Reg D, CFPB rules
• Prior work experience in the banking industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with CICS, DB2, and z/OS Connect EE
• Knowledge of ITIL
• Familiarity with Endevor / ZMF

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Support and maintain CSI Hogan applications on z/OS
• Manage and monitor batch cycles and production processing
• Perform PTF impact assessments and patch promotions
• Implement and support regulatory and compliance changes
• Maintain critical banking interfaces, including ACH, Fed Wire, and ATM feeds
• Provide ongoing production and KTLO support
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and batch-related issues
