Essential Job Functions:
Database Management and Maintenance:
- Ā Administered Oracle databases (versions 11g, 12c, 19c) ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
- Performed regular database health checks, capacity planning, and proactive monitoring to minimize downtime.
- Implemented database patches, upgrades, and migrations with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Conducted SQL query optimization and database tuning to enhance application performance.
- Analyzed and resolved performance bottlenecks using tools like AWR, ADDM, and SQL Trace.
- Ā Designed and implemented robust backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Pump.
- Ensured data integrity and availability by conducting regular disaster recovery drills.
- Ā Configured and managed Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) and Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Ā Monitored and maintained ASM (Automatic Storage Management) for efficient storage utilization.
- Enforced database security policies, user access controls, and encryption standards.
- Ā Ensured compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX) through regular audits and reporting.
- Worked closely with development teams to design and implement database schemas, indexes, and stored procedures.
- Ā Provided 24/7 support for critical production environments, resolving incidents within SLA timelines.
- Maintained comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
- Generated detailed performance and usage reports for stakeholders.
