Application Consultant - Atlanta, GA - Contract - $51-61 per HR
This position involves working in a hybrid environment in the Charlotte/Atlanta region. The role is a contract position that requires expertise in backend development, API and microservices architecture, and distributed systems. Candidates should have experience with generic cloud technologies and a strong understanding of workflow orchestration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop scalable backend services using a generic programming language framework.
- Design and implement API orchestration and microservices architecture.
- Ensure system reliability and resiliency through effective retry mechanisms and failure handling.
- Optimize performance using caching technologies for request deduplication and rate limiting.
- Conduct thorough unit and integration testing to validate complex workflows and recovery logic.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in backend development with a focus on scalable services.
- Strong expertise in designing distributed systems and understanding concurrency models.
- Proven experience in workflow orchestration and state machine design.
- Experience with performance optimization and caching technologies.
- Background in unit and integration testing, including failure scenarios.
