API Developer

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled API Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend services and APIs.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
• Build microservices architecture and integrate with existing systems
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
• Implement security best practices including OAuth2, JWT, and API authentication
• Optimize API performance and database queries
• Create and maintain API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI)
• Collaborate with frontend developers and cross-functional teams
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Debug and troubleshoot production issues

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of professional Java development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA
• Proficient in REST API design principles and best practices
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks
• Knowledge of API security patterns and authentication mechanisms
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Familiarity with version control (GitHub)
• Experience with build tools (Maven/Gradle)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis)
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito)
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
