Senior Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Key Capabilities/Experience

·     Proven track-record of building backend solutions, including implementing RESTful APIs, interfacing with databases, and integrating with messaging services, using a modern tech stack

·     Strong fundamentals in software development, including proficiency in OOP, functional programming, design patterns, concurrency, and TDD

·     Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation

·     Experience working in Agile, collaborating with teams, and demonstrating adaptability in a multicultural environment

·     Willingness to learn cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and IT risk

Minimum Qualifications

Must Have

·     Proficiency in Java 8 or higher, Java 11 or higher is preferred

·     Competency in Spring and Spring boot

·     Experience in code versioning tools, preferably Git

·     Experience in Test Automation (JUnit, Mockito, etc.)

·     Working knowledge in RESTful API Development

·     Effective Communication

Good to Have

·     Experience with database technologies such as SQL, JPA, Hibernate, etc.

·     Working knowledge in Microservices Architecture, Containerization, and Orchestration

·     Experience with CI/CD platforms, preferably Azure DevOps, and build tools such as Maven

·     An Agile mindset
