EPAM - Lead Java Backend Developer

We are looking for aLead Java Backend Developer to guide the design and development of scalable, resilient microservices-based systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative features and drive engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, resilient microservices architectures
• Build event-driven systems using Kafka
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Manage and optimize data using PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB
• Lead technical decision-making within a fast-paced development environment
• Drive best practices for Java and Spring Boot development
• Mentor team members and foster strong teamwork across projects

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Full Stack Java Developer or similar role
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices framework
• Experience with Microservices architecture and building scalable, resilient systems
• Proficiency in Kafka for building event-driven systems
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB databases
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice to have

• Familiarity with headless CMS solutions, particularly ContentStack
