Who We Are
We’re RCL – Reitmans Canada Limited, home to three of Canada’s most recognized fashion brands: Reitmans, RW&CO. and PENN. For nearly 100 years, we’ve been part of the Canadian retail landscape, helping customers feel confident through fashion, style and self-expression.
Today, we’re building on that legacy while evolving for what’s next. With close to 400 stores across Canada and growing digital channels, RCL is navigating a fast-changing retail environment — creating a real opportunity to rethink how we work, build stronger people capabilities, and enable our teams to learn, adapt and lead through change.
This is an exciting time to join us — especially in Learning & Development. As our business evolves, building capability, strengthening leadership and creating practical learning experiences will be key to helping our teams succeed.
If you’re energized by change, passionate about developing people, and motivated by creating learning that makes work easier, better and more impactful, RCL could be a great place to grow your career while helping others grow theirs.
Role Overview
Great learning changes more than what people know — it changes what they can do.
Ready to bring your ideas, expertise and passion for developing people to a role where you can make a real impact? Come help us shape what learning looks like at RCL.
As ourLearning & Development (L&D) Partner, you’ll help shape how people across RCL learn, lead and grow. You’ll design and facilitate simple, scalable learning experiences that build capability, support our transformation and respond to real business needs.
Working across Talent & Culture, you’ll partner with Talent Management & Organizational Development (TM&OD), Retail Optimization & OD, HRBPs, Change teams and business leaders to turn priorities and insights into learning people can put into practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Design scalable learning solutions that address priority business and talent needs, applying adult-learning principles and managing learning across Head Office, the Distribution Centre and our store operations.
- Facilitate engaging learning experiences that turn knowledge into practical behaviors, strengthen capability and support lasting adoption.
- Build leadership capability through learning experiences focused on accountability, ownership, enterprise thinking and people leadership.
- Partner across Talent & Culture and the business to translate talent, engagement and capability insights into relevant learning strategies.
- Manage our LXP platform, 360Learning, and measure the impact of learning by leveraging learning platforms, pathways and insights to improve access, engagement, adoption and effectiveness.
What You Bring
- 5–7 years of experience in Learning & Development or a related field, with hands-on experience designing and facilitating learning programs for different audiences, including leaders and frontline teams.
- Strong knowledge of adult-learning principles and instructional design, with demonstrated experience turning business needs into practical, engaging and scalable learning solutions.
- Experience supporting leadership development and capability-building initiatives, ideally within a changing or fast-paced organization.
- A collaborative, consulting mindset with the ability to build relationships, influence and partner across teams and levels.
- Comfort with learning technologies and digital learning approaches.
- Bilingual in French and English, with strong communication and facilitation skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders across Canada.
What Will Make You Successful
You’re passionate about helping people grow and perform at their best. You bring together learning-design expertise, strong facilitation skills and business acumen — and you know how to translate complex needs into practical learning experiences people can use.
You think beyond the training session. You design for impact, adoption and lasting behaviour change.
