2D VECTOR ARTIST

Amuse Animation is an international animation studio founded in 2015 and headquartered inLas Palmas de Gran Canaria, with a growing presence in France and China.

We are looking for severalVector Artists to join our team inLas Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.

YOUR ROLE

As aMid Vector Artist, you will be responsible for creating and preparing high-quality vector assets for animation, working with a good level of autonomy and closely collaborating with the Art, Rigging, Animation and Production teams.
You will:

• Create high-qualityvector assets for characters, props and other visual elements based on approved designs.
• Independently prepare, refine and organize assets according to project specifications.
• Ensure artwork maintains the project'svisual style, proportions and consistency.
• Prepare assets withanimation and rigging requirements in mind.
• Work closely with Leads and Supervisors to incorporate artistic and technical feedback.
• Identify and resolve issues related toasset construction, proportions, layers and file preparation.
• Collaborate with Rigging and Animation to ensure assets integrate smoothly into the production pipeline.
• Contribute to improvingasset preparation workflows and production standards.
• Manage tasks efficiently and deliver work according to production priorities and deadlines.
  

ARTISTIC & TECHNICAL

• Strong understanding ofvector illustration, shape language, proportions and clean line work.
• Good knowledge ofcharacter construction and asset preparation for 2D animation.
• Proficiency inAdobe Photoshop and relevant vector-based workflows.
• Good understanding of2D rigging requirements, including layer structure and deformation considerations.
• Ability to prepare and organizeproduction-ready vector assets.
• Strong eye forvisual consistency, colour and design within an established artistic style.
• Good understanding of2D animation production pipelines and requirements.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot commontechnical issues related to vector assets.
• Knowledge of Toon Boom Harmony is a plus.
• Familiarity with ShotGrid is a plus.
  
  
  

COLLABORATION

• Work closely withConcept Design, Art, Rigging, Animation and Production teams.
• Maintain clear communication with Leads and Supervisors regarding progress, feedback and potential issues.
• Ensure assets meet the technical requirements of downstream departments.
• Participate in reviews and contribute to improving workflows and production processes.
  
  
  

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 3–5 years of professional experience in vector art, 2D animation or a related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstratingprofessional-quality vector artwork.
• Experience working within ananimation production pipeline.
• Good understanding of asset preparation for2D rigging and animation.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and visual consistency.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus.
