Schedule:Day Shift (8a-5p) M-F
Location:Houston, TX - 77030
Job Type: Local contract
Contract Length:13 weeks, with possible extension.
Pay Range:$20- $24 per Hour on W2
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.
Duties:
- Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, diagnostic tests, and follow-up visits.
- Answer patient and family phone calls and respond to MyChart messages.
- Verify insurance benefits, plan codes, and process daily charges.
- Communicate with patients, staff, and providers regarding appointments and clinic operations.
- Arrange interpreter services when needed.
- Maintain clinic supplies, equipment, records, and other administrative tasks.
- Support efficient patient flow and deliver culturally sensitive customer service.
- Education:High School Diploma required.
- License(s): NA
- Certification(s):NA
- Years of experience:
- At least 2 years of customer service experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance terminology, and customer service.
- Healthcare or pediatric experience preferred.
- Epic experience preferred.
- Spanish/English bilingual skills preferred.
- Skills/Specialties/Technology:
- Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with computers, software, and general office equipment.
- Ability to handle phone calls, emails, appointment reminders, and MyChart messages.
