The eTruck Charging Hub Developer, Europe leads the commercial development of public and semi-public charging hubs for electric trucks across France, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Spain. This senior individual contributor originates opportunities within the Prologis portfolio and on third-party land, secures site control, develops initial concepts and business cases, builds relationships with charge point operators and customers, and advances commercial agreements. Working closely with engineering and development colleagues, the role coordinates the activities required to move projects to ready-to-build status, including approved designs, feasibility studies, permits, grid connections, and executed customer contracts. The role then ensures a structured handover to the execution team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Originate and assess public and semi-public eTruck charging hub opportunities within the Prologis portfolio and on third-party land across France, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Spain.
• Secure control of third-party sites through land acquisition or long-term lease agreements, and develop initial site concepts and value propositions based on customer demand, traffic flows, grid availability, technical feasibility, permitting, and development risks.
• Build relationships with charge point operators, fleets, logistics operators, and truck manufacturers to understand demand, develop a pipeline of partners, and connect customers with preferred charge point operators.
• Lead commercial discussions and negotiate and close customer leases, partnership agreements, and other project-specific arrangements.
• Develop project business cases covering budgets, revenues, capital requirements, risks, returns, investment recommendations, and relevant national and European subsidy schemes, and manage the internal approval process.
• Coordinate engineering designs, feasibility studies, permitting, and grid connections with Prologis engineering and development colleagues and external specialists, while reporting on pipeline, budgets, risks, milestones, and development progress.
• Ensure commercial and technical ready-to-build requirements are completed before handing projects to the execution team.

Building blocks for success

Required:

• At least seven years of relevant experience in e-mobility infrastructure development, renewable-energy project development, commercial real-estate development, or a closely related field.
• Experience originating complex infrastructure or real-estate opportunities and advancing projects from initial concept through commercial close and ready-to-build status.
• An established network across the European eTruck charging and heavy-duty transport sectors, including relationships with charge point operators and other relevant industry participants.
• Experience with site acquisition, land and lease negotiations, customer development, contract negotiation, and deal closing.
• Experience developing business cases, assessing financial viability, preparing investment recommendations, and incorporating public funding and subsidy schemes.
• Ability to coordinate charging-infrastructure, power, grid-connection, engineering-design, feasibility-study, and permitting workstreams with technical specialists.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel across Europe approximately 25% of the time.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Engineering, Energy, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Fluency in French, German, Dutch, or Spanish.
• Demonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed. Exercises sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.
