Patient Transporter - Full Time

JOB LOCATION – Wilkes-Barre General Hospital

JOB SHIFT – Full Time (Days)

Job Purpose

The aide is responsible to transport patients throughout the hospital in a safe, friendly, timely, and efficient manner according to department standards and training. The aide will provide screening of people entering the hospital as assigned.

Position Qualifications

Education:

Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes:

• Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not necessary. 
• Good verbal expression and comprehension; ability to quickly establish rapport, confidence, and trust; personable and tactful; high regard for safety; phone manners.

Licenses/Certificates:

• BLS is required and must be completed prior to the end of the orientation period
