Active Learning Centers is an award-winning, family-owned childcare organization looking forcaring, educated, dedicated, and passionate early-childhood professionals to join our Toddler team at our Emmaus location.

The toddler years are an incredibly important time of growth and development. Our teachers do much more than care for children—we
teach, nurture, encourage, guide, and help toddlers develop the skills they need to become confident and capable learners.

Competitive Toddler Teacher Pay: $15–$18 per hour, based on education and experience.

All applicants must have aHigh School Diploma or GED, be at least 18 years of age, and successfully complete required background clearances.

Your Responsibilities

As a Toddler Teacher, you will:

• Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for toddlers
• Create a safe, nurturing, active, and engaging classroom environment
• Use a variety of teaching strategies, including storytelling, educational play, music, movement, exploration, and hands-on experiences
• Support children's cognitive, language, physical, social, and emotional development
• Observe each child and use those observations to support individual growth and development
• Encourage children to communicate, interact, cooperate, and build positive relationships with their peers
• Help toddlers develop independence and practical life skills through age-appropriate responsibilities and routines
• Teach and reinforce positive behavior, responsibility, respect, and safe choices
• Provide daily opportunities for outdoor play, movement, and gross-motor development
• Provide nurturing routine care, including meals, snacks, diapering, potty-training, and maintaining children's cleanliness and comfort
• Turn daily routines into opportunities for learning and independence
• Communicate professionally and consistently with parents and families
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families
• Collaborate with other educators and leadership
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom consistent with health and safety expectations
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development
  
  

Do You Have?

We are looking for someone who has:

• A genuine passion forearly childhood education and working with toddlers
• A High School Diploma or GED(required)
• Previous childcare or toddler experience(preferred)
• An understanding of early childhood development and the unique needs of toddlers
• A warm, patient, and nurturing approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences
• Reliability, maturity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
• The ability to remain calm and positive while guiding young children
• A willingness to learn and grow as an educator
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• A balance ofcreativity, organization, initiative, and practical problem-solving
• An education degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field(preferred)
