As Vanguard continues to invest in Next Generation Advice and the evolution of self-directed guidance, we are seeking a leader to build and lead a team of financial planning experts who will help shape the future of advice.  This is a unique opportunity to influence Vanguard's financial planning strategy, partner across the enterprise, and help deliver innovative planning solutions that serve millions of clients.

In this role, you will:

• Shape Vanguard's financial planning offerings and services across advised and self-directed client experiences.
• Lead the evaluation and deployment of new planning capabilities, tools, and solutions.
• Partner with product, technology, methodology, and business leaders to bring innovative planning experiences to market.
• Evaluate and collaborate with internal teams and external providers to deliver best-in-class planning capabilities.
• Guide the oversight and evolution of Vanguard's financial planning tools and services to ensure strong client outcomes.
• Build, coach, and lead a team of high-performing financial planning subject matter experts. You'll provide guidance and training as necessary to develop crew including setting performance standards, review performance, and make informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.

What we're looking for:

• Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of8 years of related professional experience, including at least5 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, financial advice, or a related discipline.
  • Experiencedeveloping, evaluating, or implementing financial planning or financial advice methodologies, tools, capabilities, products, or solutions.
  • Experience applyingfinancial planning expertise to develop or enhance client advice solutions or experiences.
  • Experience partnering withcross-functional teams, such as product, technology, business, financial planning, or methodology teams, to develop or implement financial planning or advice solutions.
  • Experienceleading complex initiatives or programs involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experiencebuilding, leading, coaching, or developing teams or financial planning professionals.
  • Undergraduate degree or anequivalent combination of education, training, and relevant professional experience.
• Preferred Qualifications
  • Priorpeople management or supervisory experience.
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification.
  • Graduate degree.
  • Experience developing or implementingdigital, technology-enabled, or AI-enabled financial planning or advice solutions.
  • Experience supporting financial planning or advice solutions foradvised and/or self-directed investors.
  • Experience evaluating or managing relationships withexternal financial planning technology, tools, solutions, or service providers.
