AI SDLC Engineer - AWS & Bedrock

We are looking for an AI-SDLC Engineer with strong experience across AWS architecture, IAM, secure AI access, developer tooling integration, CI/CD and enterprise security controls.

The role requires someone who can operate across architecture, cloud engineering, security and software delivery, and translate technical designs into implementable enterprise solutions.

The ideal candidate will combine deep AWS and enterprise security expertise with practical experience of AI coding agents and modern software delivery, and be comfortable working directly with engineering, cloud, IAM and security teams from architecture through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery of the existing SDLC, cloud, identity and security landscape and define the target architecture for AI-assisted engineering.

• Own the AWS, IAM and secure AI access architecture, including identity, connectivity, security and governance controls.

• Define how AI coding agents integrate with developer environments, repositories, CI/CD pipelines and managed AI services such as AWS Bedrock.

• Define the reference architecture, technical blueprint and reusable implementation patterns, translating architecture into clear engineering direction.

• Work hands-on with engineering teams to implement, validate and refine the solution, resolving technical, security and integration challenges.

• Establish the security, evaluation, observability, audit and delivery controls required to operate AI-assisted development safely at enterprise scale.

• Provide technical leadership across cloud, security, engineering and architecture stakeholders through design, implementation and rollout.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solution Architect, Cloud Architect, Platform Architect or Lead Engineer working directly with enterprise teams.

• Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS enterprise architectures.

• Strong practical knowledge of AWS IAM, including roles, policies, federation, service identities, permission controls and least-privilege design.

• Experience with AWS Bedrock or equivalent managed AI services and secure enterprise AI access patterns.

• Practical experience with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, AWS Kiro or equivalent.

• Strong understanding of enterprise authentication, authorization, secrets management, networking and secure connectivity.

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, DevSecOps and security controls including static analysis, dependency and secrets scanning.

• Strong application development background, ideally Python, with experience of APIs and service integration.

• Understanding of AI security, evaluation, traceability and observability controls for enterprise AI-assisted development.

• Experience working within regulated or highly controlled environments and translating architecture into executable engineering delivery.

• Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with engineers, architects, security teams and senior stakeholders.

• AI Coding Agents – Practical experience with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, AWS Kiro or equivalent.

• CI/CD & DevSecOps – Modern secure build, test and deployment pipelines.

• Python & API Integration – Ability to develop or review supporting tooling and integrations.

• Security & Governance – Authentication, authorization, secrets, auditability and secure deployment.
