AI Integration Developer – Google Gemini

Statewide Enterprise AI Implementation Initiative

We are seeking an experienced AI Integration Developer to support a high-profile statewide Google Gemini implementation initiative focused on modernizing enterprise technology, improving operational efficiency, and integrating generative AI capabilities into existing systems and workflows.

This role will focus on developing, integrating, deploying, and supporting scalable AI-powered solutions using Google Gemini. The ideal candidate brings strong software development experience, hands-on expertise integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), and the ability to deliver secure, reliable, production-ready solutions within complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Google Gemini Integration: Develop, implement, and maintain AI-powered solutions leveraging Google Gemini and its APIs.

• Backend & API Development: Design and build scalable backend services, integrations, data pipelines, and APIs using technologies such as Python, Node.js, or TypeScript.

• Enterprise Systems Integration: Integrate Gemini capabilities into existing applications, databases, business systems, and operational workflows.

• AI Workflow Development: Design automated processes and intelligent workflows leveraging generative AI and LLM capabilities.

• Contextual AI Solutions: Implement techniques such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to improve response accuracy and incorporate enterprise-specific information.

• Testing & Optimization: Evaluate AI performance, troubleshoot integration issues, improve response reliability, and optimize system efficiency.

• Security & Data Protection: Ensure integrations align with enterprise security standards, data privacy requirements, and applicable public-sector compliance practices.

• Implementation Support: Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deploy, test, troubleshoot, and maintain AI solutions across a large-scale enterprise environment.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

• 3+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in backend development, systems integration, or API development.

• Hands-on experience integrating generative AI technologies or Large Language Models (LLMs) into applications or enterprise workflows.

• Experience with Google Gemini APIs or comparable LLM platforms such as OpenAI or Anthropic.

• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar programming languages.

• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services.

• Familiarity with enterprise databases, data integration, and cloud-based application environments.

• Strong troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience implementing Google Gemini in enterprise applications.

• Experience supporting large-scale technology modernization or public-sector initiatives.

• Familiarity with RAG, prompt engineering, AI orchestration, and workflow automation.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Understanding of AI security, data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements.

• Experience integrating new technologies into complex or legacy enterprise systems.
