AI Engineer

Essential Job Functions:

• Own end-to-end delivery of AI solutions: understand requirements → design → build → test → deploy → iterate.
• Build GenAI/LLM applications including RAG, extraction, summarization and agentic workflows.
• Develop AI agents and orchestration including tool-calling, prompts, retrieval, context, guardrails and evaluations.
• Build data pipelines for structured/unstructured data: ingestion, transformation, validation, storage and retrieval.
• Integrate enterprise data and systems including internal/external datasets, APIs and document sources.
• Develop Python backend services & APIs to expose AI/data capabilities.
• Build/modify frontend components (React/JS/TS) as needed to deliver complete applications.
• Deploy and operate solutions in enterprise/cloud environments, including logging, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Iterate rapidly with users, incorporating feedback into working solutions.
• Independently troubleshoot across the stack — AI, data, backend, frontend and deployment.
• Manage delivery effectively — timelines, priorities, risks, blockers and stakeholder communication.
• Document and hand over solutions for ongoing maintenance and support.

Qualifications:
Skills:

• Python & SQL — strong hands-on proficiency.
• Generative AI / LLMs — RAG, embeddings, prompting, structured extraction, summarization.
• Agentic AI — agents, tool-calling, orchestration, context management, guardrails.
• AI evaluation & monitoring — testing and measuring AI/LLM outputs.
• Data engineering — structured/unstructured data, ingestion, transformation and pipelines.
• Databases & retrieval — Snowflake/PostgreSQL, vector databases/search.
• Backend & APIs — FastAPI/Flask, REST APIs, service integration.
• Frontend — working React, JavaScript and TypeScript knowledge.
• Deployment & DevOps — Git, CI/CD, Docker and cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Software engineering — debugging, testing, maintainable code and system integration.
• Problem solving & ownership — independently translate business problems into deployed solutions.
• Delivery & communication — prioritize work, manage timelines, flag blockers and communicate clearly.
• Financial domain knowledge — useful but not mandatory.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
• Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning.
• Or a closely related technical field.
• 3–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in software, data and/or AI engineering.
