AI Engineer

e looking for an experiencedAI Engineer with strong expertise inAgentic AI, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating intelligent AI agents and RAG-based applications with enterprise-grade backend systems.

The candidate should have a strong software engineering background and hands-on experience building scalable AI solutions using modern LLM technologies andJava/Spring Boot microservices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and developAI-powered agents and agentic workflows for enterprise applications.
• Build and implementRAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions using LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, and enterprise data sources.
• Develop scalable backend services usingJava, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Integrate LLMs and AI agents with existing enterprise applications and backend services.
• Develop APIs and microservices to support AI/ML and GenAI applications.
• Implement prompt engineering, context management, tool/function calling, and agent orchestration.
• Design data ingestion and retrieval pipelines for RAG applications.
• Work with vector databases and embedding models to enable semantic search and knowledge retrieval.
• Integrate AI agents with enterprise tools, APIs, databases, and external systems.
• Develop secure, scalable, and highly available AI applications suitable for production environments.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, data engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders.
• Perform testing, debugging, performance tuning, and optimization of AI and backend services.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical documentation, and deployment activities.

Required Skills

Generative AI / Agentic AI

• Strong hands-on experience withGenerative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience buildingAI Agents / Agentic AI applications.
• Strong understanding ofRAG architecture and implementation.
• Experience withprompt engineering, embeddings, vector search, tool/function calling, and context management.
• Experience with LLM platforms such asOpenAI, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or similar.
• Familiarity with agent/GenAI frameworks such asLangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or equivalent.

Java / Backend Development

• Strong proficiency inJava.
• Hands-on experience withSpring Boot.
• Strong experience designing and developingREST APIs and Microservices.
• Good understanding of microservices architecture, service-to-service communication, API integration, and distributed systems.
• Experience withSpring Cloud and related Spring ecosystem technologies is preferred.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, exception handling, and clean coding practices.

Databases & Cloud

• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience withvector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, Chroma, pgvector, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such asAWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deployingproduction-grade GenAI/RAG applications.
• Experience integrating AI agents with enterprise APIs and business applications.
• Knowledge ofLLMOps/MLOps, model evaluation, monitoring, and observability.
• Experience with Kafka or other event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Understanding of AI security, data privacy, and responsible AI practices.
• Experience working in large enterprise environments.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• 4+ years of software engineering experience, with relevant experience in AI/GenAI solutions.
• Strong combination ofJava/Spring Boot backend development and Generative AI/Agentic AI experience.
