What you’ll do:

Build enterprise-grade AI agents: You'll collaborate closely with clients to architect, build, and deploy robust AI agents capable of operating at scale.

Evolve agent development lifecycle: Adapt established software engineering practices to address the unique challenges of AI agents, specifically regarding non-deterministic behaviors, natural language integration, and LLM dependencies.

Accelerate generative agent development: Leverage modern tools like Cursor and Claude Code to speed up agent creation, while exploring the design of harness and self-optimizing systems that improve through real-world usage, user feedback, and self-play loops.

Shape the future of product & platform: Your team’s direct work with customers will guide the evolution of Backbase’s product & platform. You’ll surface unmet needs, prioritize initiatives, and collaborate with product, and platform teams to shape the future of AI agent development and Backbase’s product & platform.

What you’ll bring:

• 🚀Experienced: Minimum 3 years in building agentic applications.
  
  
• 🧠Technically Strong: Proficient inPython, with hands-on experience inAgentic AI frameworks, architectures, design patterns, knowledge-base, AI-search, retrieval-augmented generation, context engineering, evaluation, and guardrailing.
  
  
• 🧩Agentic Thinker: Well-versed in modern AI agent patterns includingMCP,A2A,ACP. You understand how to build modular systems where agents collaborate, reason, and adapt to context dynamically.
