Job Summary

We are seeking anAI Development Scrum Lead to facilitate Agile delivery for AI and Machine Learning development teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Scrum principles, sprint execution, team collaboration, and the AI development lifecycle.

The Scrum Lead will work closely with AI engineers, data scientists, developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure effective sprint planning, timely delivery, removal of blockers, and continuous improvement. A basic understanding ofArtificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models (LLMs) is essential to support communication and coordination within AI-focused teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, includingsprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Guide the team in applying Scrum principles and Agile best practices.
• Coordinate sprint activities and help teams achieve agreed objectives and delivery commitments.
• Work with the Product Owner to maintain and prioritize the product backlog.
• Track sprint progress, team capacity, dependencies, risks, and delivery milestones.
• Identify and remove blockers affecting AI development teams.
• Coordinate communication among AI engineers, ML engineers, data scientists, developers, and stakeholders.
• Support the planning and execution of AI/ML development initiatives.
• Understand the basic AI development lifecycle, including data preparation, model development, testing, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Maintain sprint reports, Agile metrics, action items, and delivery dashboards.
• Promote collaboration, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Help stakeholders understand delivery progress, technical dependencies, and potential risks.

Required Qualifications

• Understanding ofScrum principles and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Knowledge of backlog management, sprint tracking, and Agile delivery practices.
• Basic understanding ofArtificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts.
• Familiarity withLarge Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI fundamentals.
• Understanding of the basic AI development lifecycle.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional technical teams and manage competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting AI, ML, data science, or Generative AI development teams.
• Familiarity with AI/ML project workflows and technical delivery dependencies.
• Experience with Agile tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Scrum Master certification, such as CSM or PSM, is a plus.
• Experience coordinating distributed development teams is beneficial.
