Job Title:QA Automation Engineer (Python Microservices)

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka (Hybrid / Onsite)

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Python-based automation frameworks, microservices testing, and API validation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Pytest automation, API testing, CI/CD practices, and modern AI-assisted development tools. Exposure to LLMs, agentic systems, and prompt engineering will be an added advantage.

Mandatory Skills

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Automation Testing.
• Strong hands-on experience inPython automation development.
• Extensive experience withPytest Automation Framework.
• Experience testingPython-based Microservices architectures.
• Strong knowledge ofAPI Testing using:
  • Postman
  • Swagger/OpenAPI
  • Scalar
• Hands-on experience withGitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test planning, and defect lifecycle.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP protocols.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis.

Good to Have Skills

• Basic understanding ofLarge Language Models (LLMs) andAgentic AI Systems.
• Exposure toPrompt Engineering concepts and prompt validation testing.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted IDEs and developer productivity tools such as:
  • Cursor
  • Windsurf
  • GitHub Copilot
  • Other AI coding assistants
• Exposure to automation testing in cloud-native environments.
• Knowledge of Docker and containerized application testing.
• Familiarity with performance and security testing concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks usingPython and Pytest.
• Create automated test scripts for microservices and API-based applications.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate REST APIs using Postman, Swagger, and Scalar.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality releases.
• Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and drive resolution with engineering teams.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide quality assurance recommendations.
• Explore AI-enabled testing approaches using LLMs and agentic workflows.
• Continuously improve test coverage, execution speed, and automation effectiveness.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum development environments.
