PrimaryDuties

• Supervisedaily operations ofgroundsstaff,includingplan,design and implementgroundsmaintenanceactivitiesandensureworkisaccomplished according to planand schedule.

• Responsibilitiesincludeensuring mowing,edging,pruningand trimming,maintenance ofplantbeds,weed control,fencelinevegetation control,andpolicing ofgroundshavebeen completed tocompanyand customerstandards.

• Troubleshootproblem areas ofgroundsmaintenance,requisitionand inventory tools,supplies,and equipment.

• Assign and ensurestaffhavewelldefinedobjectives,scheduleemployees,reviewand approvedirectreportstime,managestaff’sperformance,andensureallworkbeing completed followsServiceSourcestandards.

AdditionalResponsibilities

• Responsible forreviewingapplicants,conducting interviews,andmaking hiringrecommendations.

• Conductinitialand annualemployeeevaluationsfordirectreports.

• Provideadviceand support to seniormanagersandcustomers.

• Careforestablished lawnsbymulching,aerating,weeding,grubbing,removing thatch, ortrimmingoredging aroundflowerbeds,walks, orwalls. Prune ortrim trees,shrubs, orhedges,using shears,pruners, orchain saws.

• Gatherand removelitter. Ensurestheassigned areasarepoliced fortrashand otherdebris.

• Usehand tools,suchasshovels,rakes,pruning saws,saws,hedge orbrush trimmers, oraxes.Maintain orrepairtools,equipment, orstructures,such asbuildings,fences, orbenches,usinghandorpowertoolswhentrained.

• Provideproperupkeep ofsidewalks,driveways,parking lots,fountains,and allothergroundsfeaturespercontractrequirements. Manageandensuretheremoval ofsnowand iceto maintain clearand safesidewalks,parking lots,andbuilding entry ways.

• Ensuretheassigned turfareasaretoestablished height,edgeandtrim aroundallobstaclesandplanting beds,trimshrubs to established height,trim treesand removelimbs,etc.in accordancewith thecontractspecifications. Manageandmaintainturfbywatering,weeding,mowing,trimming,replanting,and performing otheroperationsasrequired to establish healthy,viableturf.

• Managethetransportation oflargedebris,leaves,trash,equipmentrequiring majorrepairetc.from thesitetorequired designation,entrances,emergency exitsand firehydrantlocations.

• Coordinatesand providesoversightforservicevendorsconducting refuse/recycle,snowremoval,road repair,and otheractivities.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:Education,Experience,andCertification(s)

• Ahigh schooldiploma orstatecertifiedequivalentrequired.

• Minimumof 5years ofgroundsmaintenanceexperiencerequired.

• Minimumof 3years ofsupervisory experience required.

• Abilitytogain andmaintain NGAsiteaccessrequired.

• AbilitytopassHSPD-12 background checkrequired.

Knowledge,Skills,andAbilities

• Knowledge ofmachinesand tools,including theirdesigns,uses,repair,andmaintenance.

• Theability tokeep yourhand and armsteady whilemoving yourarmorwhileholdingyourarmand hand inoneposition.

• Theability tocoordinatetwoormorelimbs (forexample,twoarms,twolegs, or onelegand onearm)whilesitting,standing, orlying down.Itdoes notinvolveperformingtheactivitieswhilethewholebodyisinmotion.

• Theability toquicklyand repeatedlyadjustthecontrols of amachine or avehicletoexactpositions.
