AEM Software Engineer - AEMaaCS

Introduction

Join a dynamic team responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and products to meet customer needs. Be a part of the entire software development lifecycle, including designing software architecture, writing code, testing for quality, and deploying software to meet customer requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)

• Proficiency in Adobe Suite, JavaScript, Angular, HTML5, CSS, React, Apache Sling, and Java
• Experience in two coding languages or advanced practice in one language
• 6 years in IT; 4 years in development
• Ability to work directly for Artech on W2
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required)

• Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS)
• Experience with DevOps tools and processes, such as Git, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with microservices or service-oriented architecture
• Curiosity and hands-on experience using AI tools to support development, testing, or content workflows
• Adobe AEM certification(s)
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Agentic AI solutions for automated code reviews
• Strong hands-on experience with modern front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3/Sass, JavaScript

Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role)

• Engage with customers to deeply understand their use-cases, pain points, and requirements
• Solve complex problems by designing, developing, and delivering using various tools, languages, frameworks, methodologies (like agile), and technologies
• Assess the requirements of the software application or service and determine the most suitable technology stack, integration method, deployment strategy, etc.
• Create high-level software architecture designs that outline the overall structure, components, and interfaces of the application
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams like product owners, designers, architects, etc.
• Define and implement software test strategy, guidelines, policies, and processes
• Work on continuously improving performance and optimizing the application
• Support security practices to safeguard user data including encryption and anonymization
• Create user-friendly and interactive interfaces
• Develop and maintain back-end applications like APIs and microservices using server-side languages
• Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies and capabilities to deliver solutions
