Job Description
As a Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships, you'll lead and grow the strategic partnerships that power Best Buy Ads' CTV business, connecting our audiences, inventory, and advertising solutions with leading brands, platforms, and data providers. You'll own key relationships across CTV, identity, data, DSP and SSP partners, helping expand addressability, measurement, and monetization opportunities for the business.Â
In this role, you'll negotiate, execute and manage partnerships from evaluation through activation, build business cases and revenue opportunities, and collaborate closely with Product, Yield, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Privacy, and other cross-functional teams to bring new capabilities to market. Success requires strong relationship-building skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence partners and stakeholders at all levels while balancing multiple priorities. What makes this role especially exciting is the opportunity to shape how Best Buy Ads grows its CTV ecosystem and drive visible business impact through high-profile industry partnerships.Â
Best Buy Ads is a key part of our company's business strategy, as we deliver business results by partnering with leading brands to captivate audiences, drive engagement, and provide measurable impact.Â
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buycorporate office in New York, NY. You can work virtually from home or another non‑Best Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you will doÂ
- Own and grow strategic partnerships that drive revenue, customer engagement, and shared business goals.Â
- Source, negotiate, and close new partnerships across brands, content, identity, and audience solutions.Â
- Lead identity partnerships end-to-end, including onboarding, clean room integrations, and match-rate optimization.Â
- Manage select CTV, Co-Marketing DSP, and SSP partner relationships, overseeing commercial performance, integrations, escalations, and business reviews.Â
- Build partnership business cases, including revenue modeling, audience sizing, success metrics, and leadership reporting.Â
- Drive execution from contract through launch by coordinating cross-functional teams while ensuring compliance, governance, and operational planning.Â
Basic qualificationsÂ
- 6+ years of experience in strategic partnerships in advertising and/or mediaÂ
- 5+Â years of experience negotiating and managing commercial agreements with external partnersÂ
- 4+ years of experience in digital advertising, retail media, or advertising technologyÂ
- Experience presenting to and influencing senior leaders and executive stakeholdersÂ
Preferred qualificationsÂ
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related fieldÂ
- Experience building partner marketing programs with brands, publishers, platforms, or rights holders in categories such as gaming, sports, entertainment, or consumer techÂ
- Working knowledge of the identity landscape, including identity resolution and audience onboarding providers, universal identifiers, and clean room environmentsÂ
- Working knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem, including how DSPs, SSPs, and ad servers transact, and familiarity with deal types such as programmatic guaranteed and private marketplaceÂ
- Experience with CTV supply, including how CTV inventory is packaged and transacted programmaticallyÂ
- Experience at a retail media network, publisher, platform, or agency, working with endemic and non-endemic advertising partnersÂ
- Familiarity with measurement and data partnerships, including match rate diagnostics and campaign measurement methodologiesÂ
- Experience working through contracting processes that include data protection, privacy, and usage rights termsÂ
- Exceptional emotional intelligence and relationship judgment: the ability to build trust quickly, manage difficult conversations and competing agendas with composure, and adapt communication style to the audienceÂ
- A track record of turning transactional vendor relationships into durable partnerships that both sides invest inÂ
- Comfort operating in a business that is still being built, with the judgment to set priorities in the absence of established processÂ
