Position Overview

As an Adult Developmental Home (ADH) Provider, you will welcome an individual with developmental disabilities into your home and provide a safe, supportive, and caring living environment. You will help the member build daily living skills, increase independence, and achieve their personal goals through personalized, one-on-one support.

Before a member can move into your home, you must complete the State of Arizona Adult Developmental Home licensing process and meet all licensing requirements. Arion Care will assist with the process.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must qualify for an Arizona DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Must have at least 3 months of experience helping someone with personal care.

Job Responsibilities

As an ADH Provider, you will:

• Provide a safe and welcoming home for a member in your residence.
• Help the member learn important life skills such as personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning, and budgeting.
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting when needed.
• Support the member in implementing and reaching their habilitation goals.
• Use positive support techniques to encourage success and independence.
• Help the member participate in community activities and attend appointments.
• Provide medication reminders as directed.
• Keep accurate records and documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful home environment.
• Communicate with family members, supervisors, and support teams.
• Respond appropriately in emergency situations.

• CPR and First Aid
• Article 9
• PROUD (if required based on the member's needs)
• Cultural Competency
• Other training required for Adult Developmental Home providers

• Reliable transportation
• Adaptive equipment, if needed

Important Information

This role is unique because the member willlive in your home. ADH Providers must be willing to share their home, provide daily support, and complete the licensing process required by the State of Arizona before providing services.
