We are seeking a dedicated individual to foster a nurturing environment for children, families, and staff alike at any one of our childcare centers, learning the Horizon way. This position travels to our local centers that are in need of administrative support. Must be willing to drive to different locations as needed or work at the administration building on special projects.

Location: The position location varies based on center/site needs; locations are in Cuyahoga and Lorain countiesÂ
Salary Information: Full-time salaried position; salaried positions are exempt from overtimeÂ
Reports to: Chief Academic OfficerÂ
Assists or may be assigned tasks by:Â Chief Operating Officer, Finance Director, Chief Financial Officer, Executive Director, or 21st Century Division ExecutiveÂ

This position is a stepping stone in the leadership ladder and may lead to a Business Coordinator (lateral), Site Coordinator (promotion), or Center Director (promotion) position.Â

Job Description:Â

Provide coverage in centers and sites throughout Lorain and Cuyahoga County when Business Coordinators, Site Coordinators, or Center Directors are not in the building Â

Learn and apply knowledge of childcare licensing rules Â
-
Learn and apply knowledge of SUTQ requirements Â
-
Learn and apply basic business operations (accounts receivable, purchasing, organization-specific duties for business operations, including tracking enrollment, attendance, and billing, and payroll) Â
-
Gain knowledge of and apply Horizon practice, procedure, and policy. Â
-
When not covering a location, duties will include center/site programmatic support by:  Â

Assisting with data collection, entry and analysis Â
-
Grant writing or reporting Â
-
Performing Classroom observations Â
-
Education services projects Â
-
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality with personnel and family informationÂ

May require frequent lifting and carrying of larger items, including but not limited to deliveriesÂ

Other duties as assigned Â
Qualifications
Qualifications:Â
-
A bachelor's degree is preferred, and an associate's degree or CDA with a willingness to continue education in the education field is requiredÂ

Center or site experience is requiredÂ
-
A minimum level 3 CPL is required (OCCRRA)Â

Must have a willingness to update job knowledge with required training, DCY licensing rules and Ohio-approved professional development opportunities, and industry trendsÂ

Has the ability to build positive relationships with coworkers, families, vendors and the community through prompt and accurate response and service, cheerful and professional attitude, and problem-solving spiritÂ

Must have strong interpersonal and customer service skills; and be able to expertly deal with internal and external individuals in a positive mannerÂ

Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenÂ

Must be able to multitask and have strong detail-oriented, time management, and organizational skillsÂ

Must be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively as an active part of a teamÂ

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and other software programs; with an emphasis on ExcelÂ

Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs. as requiredÂ
