About the Service:

Bolton Treatment Services supports people affected by drug and alcohol use, providing access to treatment, recovery support and practical help to enable people to make positive changes in their lives.

Based at our service on Le Mans Crescent, you'll be part of a busy and supportive team working to ensure people accessing the service receive the right help at the right time.

Our reception and administration team plays an important role in the day-to-day running of the service, providing a welcoming first point of contact for the people we support, visitors, professionals and partner organisations.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Receptionist Administrator to provide reception and general administrative support to our teams at Bolton Treatment Services.

As part of our front-of-house team, you'll often be the first person someone meets when accessing the service. You'll provide a warm, calm and welcoming environment while ensuring people are directed to the right appointment, colleague or source of support.

This is a varied and fast-paced role where you'll balance reception responsibilities with day-to-day administrative tasks. You'll work closely with colleagues across the service as well as professionals and partner organisations supporting people within the local community.

You'll need to be comfortable communicating with people from a wide range of backgrounds, including individuals who may be experiencing difficult or challenging circumstances, always treating people with kindness, dignity and respect.

If you're adaptable, organised and enjoy working as part of a busy team, this is an opportunity to use your skills in a role that directly contributes to the delivery of an important community drug and alcohol service.

  • Help maintain a welcoming, organised and professional reception environment throughout the day.

  • Provide administrative support including data entry, maintaining records and monitoring shared email inboxes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the service, managing allocated tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Provide additional general administrative support to help the service operate safely and efficiently.

To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage several tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Confidence communicating with a wide range of people, including people accessing the service, visitors, colleagues and external professionals.
  • A compassionate and non-judgemental approach when supporting people who may be experiencing challenging circumstances.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to your work.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team while taking responsibility for your own allocated tasks.
  • Good attention to detail and confidence completing administrative and data-entry tasks.
  • An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.

Previous experience withindrug and alcohol services, mental health, healthcare, social care or another community-based servicewould be advantageous, but isn't essential.
