Adjunct Faculty - Organizational Leadership

Urshan University is continually seeking qualified on-campus and online faculty.

Urshan University is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for to serve within our Organizational Leadership Department, with a focus on the Business Management Track and courses in Accounting, Finance, and Economics.

While this is for both online and on-campus, we are specifically looking for someone who is local to the Urshan campus and is passionate about teaching, investing in students, and sharing their professional experience in the classroom.

Primary Duties Performed

• Prepare for class sessions
• Teach classes
• Grade student assignments in a timely manner
• Respond to student e-mails in a timely manner
• Meet students as necessary outside of class to answer questions/review course materials

Adjunct Faculty may also be expected to:

• Participate in required orientations, training, and instructional meeting.
• Complete required compliance training, including but not limited to FERPA and Sexual Misconduct training.
• Coordinate with department chairs, program coordinators, or full-time faculty regarding course content and expectations.
• Implement department-approved textbooks, course materials, and assessment practices
• Maintain current knowledge and skills in the instructional discipline.
• Adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs within the scope of the assigned course(s).

The University reserves the right to assign other normal instructional responsibilities as may be appropriate for adjunct faculty.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Experience

• Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business
• Teaching experience at the college level, preferred but not required 
• Ability to teach during the day, preferred but not required

Working Conditions

• Evening, weekend, or online teaching assignments may be required depending on course scheduling

Physical Requirements

• Negligible to moderate physical activity, which may include standing for extended periods, light lifting of instructional materials, and use of standard classroom or computer equipment.
