Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated ADAS Test Automation Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in the automotive industry to support the validation and testing of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in ADAS testing and validation along with strong Python scripting skills for test automation.
This role involves developing, executing, and automating test cases for ADAS features, analyzing test results, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain test cases for ADAS functionalities.
- Automate manual test cases using Python-based automation frameworks and test libraries.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing of ADAS features.
- Analyze test results, identify software defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
- Validate ADAS components including perception, sensor fusion, object detection, lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, and related functionalities.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for continuous validation activities.
- Execute tests in SIL, HIL, vehicle, and lab environments as applicable.
- Review software requirements and ensure complete test coverage.
- Generate test reports, defect reports, and validation documentation.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of software and system issues.
- Collaborate with software developers, system engineers, and validation teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in test planning, test strategy reviews, and project status meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–3 years (24–36 months maximum) of experience in Automotive Software Testing or Validation.
- Hands-on experience in ADAS testing and validation.
- Strong experience with Python scripting and test automation.
- Experience creating and automating test cases using Python test libraries/frameworks.
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and defect tracking processes.
- Knowledge of automotive development processes and product lifecycle.
- Experience with debugging, log analysis, and issue investigation.
