Activities Leader

We are looking for an experienced and motivated activities assistant to join our growing team in Williamsville, NY.

Activities assistant position details:

We are hiring for a Full Time (37.5 hours/week) position. The scheduled hours will be: 

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8am - 4pm
• Wednesday: 9am - 5pm
• Every other Saturday & Sunday: 8am - 4p, with a day off the week before and after

The candidate will be working on our Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Care floors. 

Activities assistant job duties include:

• Participates in community planning related to the interests of the residents and their needs.
• Coordinates transportation for trips/outings when necessary.
• Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the community.
• Participates in resident/group council meetings when/if requested and provides support service to such councils.
• Supervises programs as necessary.
• Encourages residents to participate in program.

Qualifications

Activities assistant qualifications: 

• Experience in organizing, planning, promoting and directing cultural arts activities is preferred. 
• Experience working with a geriatric population is preferred.
