- Work as part of evolving multi-disciplinary teams which may include Software Engineers, Enterprise Technology Engineers, Designers, SecOps, and Product Owners to deliver value through the application of specialist skills.
- Support recommendation of accurate strategic platforms to address a problem based on business requirements using your expertise.
- Maintain, optimize, and automate our Active Directory ecosystem, including:
- Domain Controller server builds: Plan, deploy, and configure domain controllers across multiple sites, ensuring proper setup of FSMO roles, replication topology, secure baseline hardening, and time synchronization. Validate health using tools like dcdiag, repadmin, and event logs. Ensure compliance with security and operational standards during provisioning.
- Active Directory troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve replication failures, authentication issues, group policy misconfigurations, DNS-related AD problems, and trust relationship errors. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage and support DNS infrastructure, including:
- Design and maintain DNS zones and records to support AD functionality and enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot DNS-related issues such as stale records, zone transfer failures, name resolution delays, and dynamic updates.
- Implement DNS scavenging policies, secure zone configurations, and monitor DNS health using tools like dnscmd, nslookup, and event logs.
- Ensure tight integration between DNS and AD, especially for SRV records and domain controller location services.
- Work in an enterprise multi-directory environment handling service requests, incidents, problem management, and change requests related to ADS and its associated services.
- Microsoft Entra Connect Sync: Configure and maintain hybrid identity synchronization between on-premises AD and Microsoft Entra ID. Monitor synchronization health, troubleshoot common errors (e.g., duplicate attributes, filtering misconfigurations), manage custom sync rules, and handle staging mode scenarios. Ensure secure and reliable identity flow across environments.
- Apply software development techniques to securely automate builds and updates within Active Directory using Pipelines, APIs, and testing methodologies. PowerShell scripting knowledge preferred.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of identity management systems with existing applications. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure systems are scalable, maintainable, and secure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IAM systems, ensuring a high level of availability and user satisfaction. Proactively monitor systems for issues, identifying and resolving problems before they impact users. Collaborate with support teams to resolve user issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field such as Information Technology, Information Systems, or Cybersecurity. Additionally, certification in IAM technologies and frameworks can demonstrate the candidate's expertise in the field. Certifications from organizations such as Open Group or ISC2 can be relevant for this role.
- 3+ years of experience supporting MS Active Directory, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Windows Server Operating Systems, Domain Controllers, Active Directory troubleshooting, Domain Name System (DNS), LDAP, Kerberos, NTLM.
- 2+ years Microsoft Entra Connect/ Microsoft CloudSync.
- Microsoft Entra Connect Sync:
- Hands-on experience deploying and configuring Entra Connect in hybrid identity environments.
- Strong understanding of synchronization architecture, including source anchor, immutable ID, and attribute flows.
- Ability to manage and troubleshoot synchronization errors such as duplicate attributes, filtering misconfigurations, and sync rule conflicts.
- Experience with staging mode, custom sync rules, and integration with multiple forests or domains.
- Familiarity with Entra Connect Health for monitoring and diagnostics.
- Scripting skills: Powershell, python.
- Proven knowledge in the application of modern Service Delivery methods — Site Reliability Engineering to traditional ITIL, and understanding of Product-Based delivery
