Project Design Authority - Air Traffic Control Projects

Thales Portugal is looking for an experienced professional to take on the role ofSolution Design Authority within our growingAir Traffic Control business area. In this role, you will act as the Technical Authority on complex projects, ensuring that solutions meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and Thales product strategy.

You will work across the full life cycle of advanced Air Traffic Control solutions, frombid phase and solution definition to delivery, integration and validation, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and acting as thekey technical interface with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as thetechnical authority for the solution across bids and project delivery;

• Analysecustomer requirements and define the system architecture and technical approach;

• Ensuresolution compliance with customer needs, product strategy, safety and regulatory requirements;

• Leadsystems engineering activities, including requirements definition, system architecture and design reviews;

• Oversee design work acrossmultidisciplinary engineering teams (software, hardware, mechanical and acoustic);

• Coordinateintegration, verification, validation and qualification activities (IVVQ) throughout the project lifecycle;

• Act as themain technical interface with the customer and support product development and capability evolution for ATC systems.

Profile:

• Degree inEngineering or a related technical field;

• Proven Project Design Authority with technical/project experience in both development and support fields;

• Experience inrequirements engineering, system design and system life cycle management;

• Ability to act as atechnical leader within multidisciplinary teams;

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills;

• Experience inAir Traffic Control systems or critical control systems is highly valued;

• Very good written and oral proficiency inEnglish.
