Costing Section Head (Manufacturing)

Job Purpose:

The Costing Section Head will lead and manage product costing activities by ensuring accurate cost calculation, inventory valuation, and profitability analysis, while providing cost insights that support pricing, budgeting, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making within the manufacturing environment. The job holder will be based in our manufacturing site inAl Obour City and will be reporting to Head of Finance - Technical Operations.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead product costing (standard & actual costing) processes.
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances.
• Ensure accuracy of Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing.
• Monitor inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Support pricing decisions and margin analysis.
• Partner with production teams to improve cost efficiency.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and operational efficiency projects.
• Ensure proper cost allocation methods.
• Provide reports on plant performance and cost drivers.
• Support budgeting and forecasting related to manufacturing costs.

Qualifications & Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance.
• 8+ years of experience in costing within manufacturing site is mandatory
• Strong knowledge of standard costing and variance analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP CO module preferred).
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Good understanding of production processes.
• High attention to detail and strong business partnering skills
