Job Summary

TheAccounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely cash application, and resolving customer deductions. This role focuses on improving the cash conversion cycle while providing high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced, transformational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Focuses on three primary pillars: Deductions, Collections, and Cash Application.
• Investigates deductions and disputes from major accounts (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, Target, Costco) to verify validity and gather necessary supporting evidence.
• Collaborates cross-functionally with Logistics, Sales (VPs), and Finance to resolve pricing disputes and secure missing documents.
• Monitors account statements, past due balances, check payments, and remittances.
• Conducts reporting and presents account challenges/open AR status to internal sales leadership.
• Acts as the primary contact for customer account inquiries, payment status, and receivables issues.
• Monitors customer payment behavior and ensures compliance with payment terms.
• Drives customer payment adherence through collections, negotiations, and dunning processes.
• Applies cash payments accurately to open accounts receivable balances.
• Reconciles accounts, matches payments to invoices, and resolves discrepancies.
• Investigates and resolves unidentified payments, overpayments, and misapplied payments.
• Works closely with internal teams (Order Management, Sales, Treasury, Finance, Accounting, etc.) to optimize processes and customer experience.
• Supports month- and year-end closing procedures and audit requests.
• Contributes to process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives.
• Reports on accounts receivable KPIs and cash flow performance.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of thecustomer-to-cash (C2C) process.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and Office tools.
• Experience with SAP Finance, Adyen, or similar financial software.
• Analytical skills for trend identification and payment discrepancy resolution.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP ECC preferred).
• Familiarity with Power BI (navigating slicers/filters).
• Fluency in English (mandatory).
• Ability to work independently across multiple time zones.
• Strong analytical mindset, assertive communication, and problem-solving skills to drive collections and deduction resolutions.

Preferred Skills

• Power BI and automation tools.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year in AR/Finance required.

Nice-to-Have Experience

• 2–5 years of AR/Finance experience preferred.
• Background in Finance or Accounting is ideal.
