Our client, a leading global hospitality supply company, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their finance team in Somerset, NJ. This position is responsible for processing customer invoices, applying payments and remittances, performing various accounts receivable functions, and supporting month-end close activities. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where data entry speed and accuracy are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer invoices accurately and efficiently
- Apply payments and remittances to customer accounts
- Perform a variety of accounts receivable functions
- Support month-end close activities
- Maintain high standards of speed and accuracy in all data entry tasks
- Work independently and collaboratively within a finance team
Required Qualifications
- Prior Accounts Receivable experience OR banking experience (including bank teller experience)
- Strong KPH (keystrokes per hour) and 10-key data entry skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced finance or accounting environment
- Familiarity with month-end close processes
- Experience with enterprise accounting or ERP systems
About the Role
- Contract duration: approximately 1,000 hours (long-term contract)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8.5 hours per day including a 30-minute lunch (40 hours per week)
- Start time: flexible between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM
- Location: On-site in Somerset, NJ (08873)
- Travel: None required (0%)
