Accounting Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoices, payments, and credits.

• Reconcile customer and vendor accounts and resolve billing or payment discrepancies.

• Review purchase orders, shipping records, freight charges, and returns to support accurate billing.

• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due accounts.

• Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close.

• Maintain organized accounting records and respond to customer and vendor inquiries.

Qualifications

• Some formal accounting education, such as college coursework, an accounting certificate, or a degree.

• Solid hands-on accounting experience, including invoice processing and account reconciliation.

• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting procedures.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
