Location: St Louis, MO - Hybrid schedule
Pay Range: $35-38/hr on W2
Contract Length: 9 months (Extension possible based on performance, attendance, and business needs)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Withholding Tax Accounting for a temporary assignment supporting our tax operations team. In this role, you will manage incoming correspondence, process tax deposits and payments, support journal entries and reconciliations, and assist with state year-end filings — helping ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the company's withholding tax obligations.
What You'll Do
- Manage correspondence: gather, scan, and archive incoming mail; research each item and draft responses for review and signature before sending or mailing.
- Process deposits: scan and validate deposits, resolve discrepancies, and prepare deposit memos for depositing.
- Handle payment requests: enter and submit check/EFT payment requests for approval and processing.
- Support journal entries: complete manual journal entries and ATP entries from supporting documentation and route for approval.
- Assist with reconciliations: respond to quarterly account reconciliation inquiries, including Cadency-related questions.
- Support year-end filings: roll over state reconciliation workbooks, gather year-end support documents, and process quarterly and EFT withholding tax payments, including Puerto Rico filings.
